10 Movies That Should NEVER Be Remade

So my brother and I decided to make a list of movies we think should never be remade. Right now it is a decade that production companies are leaping for the chance to remake or reboot a popular movie but some things should be left alone.

#1: Top Gun

Who would be crazy enough to recast Tom Cruise's character Maverick?

#2: Gone With The Wind

Two words: Clark Gable. He is Rhett Butler and always should be.

#3: The Breakfast Club

Honestly anything with Anthony Michael Hall or Molly Ringwald is priceless to me but I had to pick just one and this is an all time favorite.

#4: Dirty Dancing

I've read a few places that they are thinking of remaking this movie but maybe it is just me I am partial to Patrick Swayze... after all my brother was named after him.

#5: Back To The Future Trilogy

I admit I just love MJF and this was his big franchise that I hope never gets remade because I love the cast too much.

#6: Breakfast At Tiffany's

One of my all time favorites and it has Audrey in it which makes it that much harder for me to ever accept a remake.

#7: Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy

This one is easy for me there is no replacing Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold.

#8: Uncle Buck

This is one of my favorite John Hughes movies and John Candy is and always will be Uncle Buck for me.

#9: Home Alone & Home Alone 2: Lost In New York

Okay, yeah so I've had a crush on Macaulay Culkin since I was 10. Home Alone and Sex & Breakfast are my favorite movies that he has been in. Even though they continued the series I don't consider those remakes it is a different character and the story line is different from the first and second. Also, who can forget Catherine O'Hara screaming "KEVIN!"?

#10: Grease

They've remade Hairspray but I hope in my lifetime I never see Grease again in the theater unless it is the orginal 1978 version with Olivia Newton John, John Travolta, and my favorite Jeff Conaway.

Those are 10 movies that I think should stay as they are - perfect casting and all. I get that most of mine are from the 80s but movies then were so much more unique. What are movies you think should never be remade?
